New learning games from Pixar’s brand new movie “Luca”: Spark curiosity about the world and encourage learners of all ages to explore and understand their feelings

After a year of challenges for educators, learners and families around the world, it’s never been a better time to build social and emotional learning (SEL) skills among learners of all ages. That’s why we are very excited to announce brand new social emotional learning games from Disney and Pixar’s new movie Luca, which premiered on June 18 worldwide.

We recently asked teachers from all over the world what they identify as the most important trend within education for the next school year. The #1 answer was very clear: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). As many schools plan to reopen this fall, teachers and students will be able to learn together in the classroom again after a year apart. Social emotional skills will be more important than ever in smoothing these transitions and giving learners a strong foundation to succeed in the new school year.

This is why we are very excited to introduce a series of brand new, ready-to-play SEL kahoots for students and learners, designed to spark their curiosity about the world around them and explore big feelings about life, friendship and what makes each of us unique. The collection features characters from Disney and Pixar’s brand new movie Luca, coming to Disney+ and movie theaters this summer.

The learning games featuring Luca have been designed to support the development of social emotional skills among learners of all ages, and are already available on the Disney Premium partner page on Kahoot! Academy.

 

The games will also be available in the Disney SEL collection on Kahoot! Academy, together with kahoots from Disney and Pixar’s OSCAR® Winner Soul and other Disney fan-favorites like Pinocchio. Educators and learners can expect even more learning games focused on SEL in the coming months and throughout the 2021 back-to-school season.

 

All of the kahoots in Disney’s social emotional learning collection are available to play for free on Kahoot! Academy, a knowledge platform and online community which allows anyone to access premium content that supports engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Kahoot! Academy content, including hundreds of kahoots from Disney, is available to all Kahoot! users, both through the website and on the mobile app.
