We are thrilled to share that Kahoot! appointed a new chairperson and board member to the board of directors following the Annual General Meeting of Kahoot! ASA held earlier today.

Starting today, the Board of Directors will consist of the following:

Andreas Hansson (chairperson)
Christer Stefan Blom
Lori Varner Wright
Joanne Kuhn Bradford
Akshay Naheta
Sarah Blystad (employee representative)
Alexander Remen (employee representative)

We are thrilled that both Andreas and Akshay are assuming roles as chairperson and board member, respectively. We have developed a strong relationship with them both since SB Northstar became a major shareholder last year, now holding 15.9% of the shares in Kahoot!, and I am confident that the experience, insights and network Andreas and Akshay can contribute with, alongside the rest of the board, will be instrumental to Kahoot! in our next phase of growth.

I want to thank Harald Arnet and Sindre Østgård, who have been invaluable to Kahoot!, in their capacity as chairperson and board member in Kahoot! They have represented all shareholders in a formidable way. We are also grateful that Harald has accepted the new role as chair of the nomination committee.

Following Kahoot!’s main listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange in March, the new board will strengthen Kahoot! further. With Stefan Blom, Lori Wright and Joanne Bradford continuing as board members, together with Andreas Hansson and Akshay Naheta, we have established a board with extensive international experience, as well as deep technology insight and an unparalleled network. In addition, the board has been supplemented by two employee representatives with deputies elected by and among the employees of Kahoot! ASA.

“I’m excited to take on the role as chairperson of the Kahoot! board, and I am truly looking forward to representing Kahoot!’s shareholders and working with such an experienced and diverse board,” said Andreas Hansson, chairperson of the Kahoot! board and Managing Director at SB Management (a wholly-owned subsidiary of SoftBank Group Corp. and investment manager of SB Northstar).

“Kahoot! has demonstrated impressive growth and has steadily carved a stronger position in the global learning market. We see that digital learning, whether virtual or physical, continues to increase in impact and importance globally, and I see great opportunities for Kahoot! going forward.”
