ESSA Study Consent

I hereby consent to Kahoot! AS (“Kahoot!“) using my personal data, including my email address and my usage data on Kahoot! platform during the school year 2023-2024, for the Oak Grove School District Study, as described below.

The purpose of the Oak Grove School District Study is for Kahoot! to find evidence that the use of Kahoot! promotes learning, as part of Kahoot!’s efforts to obtain the Level II badge under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). LearnPlatform, a leading learning management system, will be conducting the study on Kahoot!’s behalf. To carry out the study, Kahoot! needs to share certain personal data of participants with LearnPlatform, who will then match the data with data provided by Oak Grove School District. This will enable LearnPlatform to determine which teachers at Oak Grove School District are using the Kahoot platform and to what extent, in order to determine whether the use of Kahoot! in teaching generates more learning.

I understand that by giving my consent, Kahoot! will share my personal data with LearnPlatform for the purpose of the Oak Grove School District Study. My personal data will be shared so that LearnPlatform may combine data from the Oak Grove School District and that of Kahoot!. The processing will occur in accordance with Kahoot!'s Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679

I further understand that I can withdraw my consent to the above processing at any time by sending a written notification to the Kahoot! using the contact details specified below. In case I withdraw my consent, Kahoot! will no longer process my personal data for the Oak Grove School District Study.

Kahoot! has informed me of the following:

My personal data will be stored for as long as necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, and will thereafter be deleted or anonymized. Kahoot! is the data controller with respect to my personal data, and is responsible for ensuring that the personal data is stored in a safe manner and is not used for purposes other than those specified herein. The legal basis for Kahoot!’s processing of my personal data is my consent.
