The 1st Kahoot! Tour de France Cup

Classrooms from around the world joined for an educational adventure through the culture and landscapes of Europe! In partnership with Tour de France & Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, we welcomed classrooms to a live, friendly Kahoot! game testing knowledge on geography and safe cycling.

An international, live learning adventure

Classrooms around the world filled with flags, banners, and more to compete in a brand-new live virtual event: the 1st Kahoot! Tour de France Cup! This friendly Kahoot! game challenged students’ knowledge of safe cycling practices, as well as the cultures and landscapes of Europe. It was a race to the podium, but it wasn’t just about points. Together, educators and students fostered team spirit, connected with other learners globally, and showed the world that curiosity and learning have no borders.

No language barrier

While open to all, this high-energy cup welcomed students aged 9 to 13, offering the classic live experience you love with a visual twist.
We replaced text with images and emojis, ensuring every student could join the pack regardless of their native language. As a result, classrooms from more than 80 countries around the world signed up for the friendly competition!

Students competed in a friendly international cup that went beyond geography and safe cycling to celebrate discovery, sport, and a healthy, active lifestyle.

This event was inspired by the Kahoot! Cup, an annual learning event created by educator and Kahoot! Ambassador Steve Auslander. Since it began in 2017, the Kahoot! Cup has brought together thousands of students worldwide with the idea that we are, “more alike than we are different.”

Do my students need prior knowledge about the Tour de France race?

No. This competition is designed for everyone. The goal is to bring students together and discover European culture and landmarks while testing their knowledge in a fun, inclusive way. No cycling expertise is required, just a spirit of adventure and a willingness to learn!

How do I join the Kahoot! Tour de France Cup on the day of the event?

All registrants will receive a Zoom link to access the event. Only one teacher should join the Zoom meeting to represent their entire class. Plan ahead and be sure your camera works so that your students can engage with other students around the world!

Can I sign up more than one classroom?

Yes, absolutely! Just make sure each classroom will have a teacher assisting.

How do my students join the event?

After the teacher joins the Kahoot! Tour de France Cup Zoom, a kahoot will be screen-shared and presented through Zoom. Students can then use the Game PIN to join the live kahoot trivia.

Do the winners of the Kahoot! Tour de France Cup receive a prize?

Yes! All students who make it on the podium will receive an exclusive Kahoot! Tour de France Cup prize.
