Is the pricing listed per team or per teacher?
Unless specified otherwise in a special offer or promotion, price is listed per teacher.
Can someone else pay for my subscription?
You can request a Kahoot!+ Voucher. All you need to do is generate a link and share it with someone who is eager to help. This allows them to pay for Kahoot! subscription of your selection. You can generate the link in the Billing tab of your account settings.
Do you offer both monthly and annual billing?
The prices displayed on our website include both the annual cost and the monthly breakdown of the annual subscription. However, all these plans are billed upfront for the entire year. Currently, there is no option for monthly billing for any of our educational plans.
Is Word Cloud, Open-Ended Questions and Brainstorm included in my subscription?
These features are not currently available with our current individual K-12 school plans due to Children’s Data Privacy laws.
If you wish to use the aforementioned features you can upgrade to our EDU subscription.
What are the participant limits per game?
The participants limit differs based on what plan you’re on:
- Go: Up to 10 participants per game
- Teacher essentials: 40 participants per game
- Bronze: Up to 50 participants per game
- Silver: Up to 100 participants per game
- Gold: Up to 200 participants per game

I can't find my content, it was moved to another workspace. What is a workspace and how does it work?
With workspaces, you can organize your content and separate what’s shared with your team and what’s private. A workspace is where you can create, edit, and access kahoots, courses, reports, and groups. You can switch between workspaces anytime. Access to content and features differs based on which workspace you’re in. Learn more about Workspaces here.
What is AccessPass and how does it work?

Can I add students to a group?
Yes, you can add students to your groups! You can find more information about groups here.
Young students (U.S. students under 13 and non-U.S. students under 16) are unable to join or create groups.
What are student passes?
Student pass is a function that allows teachers to easily share access to our premium functionality geared towards students, including learning apps and enhanced creator functionality, by simply sharing a QR code or a link. More information here.

Does Kahoot! still offer a free version?
Yes. It’s our commitment to keep Kahoot! free for school (K-12) teachers. As a school (K-12) teacher, you can use Kahoot! Basic for free – and so can your students. We plan to continue improving Kahoot! as part of our mission to make learning awesome.
How do I get a verified Kahoot! Academy profile?
Apply to become a Verified educator and join the Kahoot! Academy community and marketplace for educators.
Does Kahoot! provide a sole source letter?

Can I use Kahoot! in languages other than English?
Yes! You can write questions and answers in any language to create a native language experience for participants. You can also play, create and host kahoots, view reports and more in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Arabic, Ukrainian, Korean, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese. Are students able to share kahoots?
Yes, students above certain age can share their content without any constraints.
Young student accounts (U.S. students under 13 and non-U.S. students under 16) can present their own kahoots live to their class, but they cannot share (make public, share via link or with another account) their content.
If you want your children or students to share their question ideas with you, you can use the import questions from template feature.
My school is tax exempt. Why was I charged tax and how can I get rid of it?
We are currently updating our systems to reflect our customers’ tax-exemption status correctly. If you were charged tax while your organization is tax-exempt, please contact our Support team so that we can adjust this. We will need to confirm some details with you and will request the tax exemption certificate so it is recommended to have it prepared
How do I downgrade/upgrade my subscription?
To upgrade or downgrade, subscribe to a higher or lower tier plan on this pricing page or through prompts in the platform. Read more about upgrades and downgrades here.
