As the saying goes, “no diamonds without pressure” and the pressure was definitely on in this year’s Host the Most competition! We’re excited to celebrate some diamonds, too, in this year’s winners. 

Playing and hosting within three different participant categories, over 3,000 teachers hosted kahoots across classrooms and campuses, all sharing powerful play at school and at home!

Kahoot! is on a mission to make learning awesome for teachers far and wide. The Host the Most winners will bring learning and fun to their classrooms with some awesome swag packs, perfect for sparking curiosity, supporting learners to become leaders!

A round of applause for these superstar teachers, who Hosted the Most kahoots this season:

  • 1st Place: Alexis at Rhill English Institute of the Dominican Republic
  • 2nd Place: Kira of JLS Language School in Korea
  • 3rd place: Isidro Jr. from Westridge Middle Schools in Florida

Superstar celebrations are appropriate to honor these teachers who Hosted the Most players:

  • 1st Place: Ronny of B.Tavern Community School in Germany 
  • 2nd Place: Randi at West Middle School in Kansas
  • 3rd Place: Roland from De La Salle University in the Philippines

Two heads are better than one! These rockstar educators Hosted the Most kahoots in Team Mode:

  • 1st Place: Steve of Kellogg Middle School in Idaho
  • 2nd Place: Carlos at Colegio Israelita in Mexico
  • 3rd Place: Abdu Alhalim at College Mannouba in Tunisia

As one door closes [to end the competition], another opens! During the entire Host the Most contest, new tools and features became available for teachers far and wide. In case you haven’t tried out some awesome new additions already, here’s a recap of what’s new in your Kahoot! Creator page:

  • New QR codes make joining kahoots accessible to learners of all ages and spaces! Share a QR code in the Kahoot! Lobby for players to sign-in via camera scan 
  • Seasonal themes and virtual backgrounds bring some festive fun to each kahoot session. Six themes are already available in the Creator, build student engagement with themed colors, lobby music, podiums, and emotes. 
  • New question types are available for teacher and student play! Players and hosts share ideas with open-ended, type answer, and word cloud prompts. Users of all account types can review premium questions, too, with Locked permissions, making collaboration across campuses even more awesome. 
  • Kahoot! +Study launches and supports learners in upper grades and higher education settings. Flashcards, review games, and study tools build learning beyond the classroom!
