At Kahoot!, we believe that education plays a pivotal role in creating a brighter future for all, where everyone can enjoy freedom, justice, and equality. When students grow their knowledge of the human rights we all share, they gain tools to help foster a culture of respect and empathy. This is why I’m delighted to announce Kahoot!’s partnership with global human rights organization Amnesty International to launch a new collection of thought provoking kahoots.
Empowering students with knowledge to be human rights champions
When students explore these kahoots from Amnesty International, available to play for free, they can build foundational knowledge for human rights education. This includes an introduction to different types of protections and freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, why these universal rights are so important, and how we can take action to protect them in the world around us.
“Our quizzes on Kahoot! provide a direct, effective way to learn about human rights,” said Kate Moriarty, Head of Human Rights Education at Amnesty International. “They are fun to play as well as tools for learning and reflection, crafted to inspire understanding and foster a commitment to justice. We invite everyone, everywhere, to become a part of the global movement for human rights. This is human rights education in action—dynamic, critical, and inclusive.”
With Amnesty International’s kahoots, educators can go beyond simply teaching facts about human rights. They can also spark reflection and thoughtful discussion in the classroom and beyond. These kahoots make a great addition to social studies lessons by helping students build global citizenship skills and knowledge, while exploring topics of empathy, equality, and respect can support social and emotional learning (SEL).
