Supercharge learning with Kahoot! – now available in Vietnamese!

Create captivating learning moments for all ages with Kahoot! in Vietnamese! With the introduction of Vietnamese language support, it’s easier than ever to learn, play, and grow on Kahoot!

Learning with Kahoot! just got even more awesome! I’m excited to announce that we have introduced Vietnamese language support on the Kahoot! web platform and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Now, educators and learners of all ages can enjoy a more accessible learning experience with Kahoot! in Vietnamese.

At Kahoot!, we want to empower everyone to reach their learning potential and discover how engaging learning can truly be. By localizing Kahoot! in Vietnamese, we’re making it easier and more intuitive for Vietnamese speakers to find, create, share, and play kahoots in their own language. Educators and learners can now ignite engagement and deepen learning at school, work, home, or beyond, through a more personalized and immersive learning environment.

This launch comes as a growing number of Vietnamese teachers, employers, parents, and students are turning to digital learning solutions like Kahoot! to foster engaging and effective learning. In the last 12 months, 70,000 teachers in Vietnam have delivered engaging lessons with Kahoot!. We have also seen over 80% growth in kahoots hosted in workplaces across Vietnam over the past year, and a doubling of students using Kahoot! to study smarter. Now with full language support, it’s easier than ever for Vietnamese speakers to spark interactive fun and learning anywhere with Kahoot!, from a classroom to a corporate training session to a quiz night with family and friends.

Discover ready-to-play learning content in Vietnamese

To get started learning, explore collections of ready-to-play kahoots in Vietnamese from Kahoot! Studio, as well as popular brand partners, including Disney, Star Wars, and Angry Birds. You can also discover engaging, teacher-made resources from verified creators in Vietnam, on topics including chemistry, Vietnamese culture and geography, and more.

For parents who want to nurture their children’s learning at home, Kahoot! Kids—our playful offering designed just for young learners—is also available in Vietnamese. Parents and children can now navigate Kahoot! Kids more easily in their own language, as well as explore localized kahoots on a wide range of topics.

Nguyễn Thúy, a curriculum developer and former English teacher who offers English language learning resources on Kahoot!, shared what Kahoot! means to her and how its localization into Vietnamese can support both educators and learners:

Powering transformative digital learning throughout Asia

Kahoot! is now available in 21 languages, with Vietnamese as the seventh Asian language introduced on Kahoot!. This follows the launch of language support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Thai. By localizing Kahoot! in these languages, we’re not only fueling growth across the Asia-Pacific region, but doubling down on our commitment to making learning inclusive for all.

Across APAC, more than one million teachers are already using Kahoot! to elevate their students’ learning. Over 200 million participants (non-unique) in the region have joined kahoots at school, work, and home in the last year. As we expand throughout the Asia-Pacific, we will continue to offer more tailored content and experiences that empower both educators and learners. How to get started with Kahoot! in Vietnamese: 

  1. Update the app to the latest version, or download it on your iOS or Android device if you haven’t installed it before.
  2. The app will switch automatically if your device language is set to your local language.
  3. If your device language is English, tap the profile icon within the app.
  4. From your profile page, tap the cog icon to open settings.
  5. Select your language from the Language dropdown.

To change the language in the web platform: 

  1. Log in to your Kahoot! account, or go to create.kahoot.it and create an account.
  2. Click on your Profile icon and click on “Change language” 
  3. Click on the dropdown language section and choose Vietnamese.
