What began in 2017 as a small classroom experiment has evolved into a worldwide phenomenon: the Kahoot! Cup, bringing together more than 5,000 students from 50+ countries. Each year, students and teachers come together for a live, virtual, pop culture quiz tournament! Waving across a Zoom video screen, students from around the world represent their countries with flags, trophies, posters, and banners, engaging in a 30-question kahoot recapping trends, stories, and news from the year prior. Students across all ages, grades, and ability levels corral for a collaborative, competitive, and all-around awesome live event.

Join the Kahoot! Cup 2025 to connect with teachers and students from all corners of the world.

The ninth annual Kahoot! Cup will include five live, virtual sessions, during the following times:

The US adjusts for Daylight Savings on November 2, 2025. Please double-check the times above to be sure you’re scheduled for the appropriate session!

Teachers should sign up once for their entire class. After signing up, you will be emailed a confirmation as well as the link to join the live event. The Kahoot! Cup only supports in-person classes, students, and teaching environments. Virtual-only, distance-learning classrooms are not permitted.

Only teachers should be registering for the Kahoot! Cup. The registration details must not be shared with students.

Graducation icon

Students cannot participate in the Kahoot! Cup if they are learning from home. The game must be played in person with a teacher present. This minimizes the chances for inappropriate nicknames, etc.

FAQ’s

How do I join the Kahoot! Cup on the day of the event?

All registrants will receive a Zoom link to access the event. Only one teacher should join the Zoom meeting to represent their entire class. Plan ahead and be sure your camera works so that your students can engage with other students around the world!

How do my students join the event?

After the teacher joins the Kahoot! Cup Zoom, a Kahoot! will be screen-shared and presented through Zoom. Students can then use the Game PIN to join the live kahoot trivia.

How do I know what time my Kahoot! Cup session begins?

Do the winners of the Kahoot! Cup receive a prize?

Yes! All students who make it on the podium will receive an exclusive Kahoot! Cup prize from Kahoot!.
