The Board of Directors of Kahoot! AS (“Kahoot” or the “Company”) has appointed Eilert Hanoa as CEO of Kahoot! with effect from December 1st 2019. Hanoa has been the Chairman of the Board since 2015, and he will resign from the Board when becoming CEO. Further, the Board of Directors has appointed Harald Arnet as Chairman of the Board with effect from the same date. Arnet is a board member of the Company and representing the largest shareholder, Datum Group. Current CEO and co-founder Åsmund Furuseth will continue in the company in the role as Chief Product Officer (CPO).

The Chairman of the Board, Eilert Hanoa, has been working closely with Åsmund Furuseth since he was appointed CEO in March 2018. Kahoot! has now completed its first commercial phase, and as the next strategic phase starts, Furuseth will be responsible for the further development of Kahoot!’s product and commercial offerings.

“During the last two years, the Company has increased its revenue more than 300% year over year and surpassed its first 100 000 paying customers and is expecting to reach positive cash-flow from operations in Q4-2019. Åsmund is and has been essential in developing the company since Kahoot! was launched and it is a privilege to work together with Åsmund to build the company for the next phase”, says Eilert Hanoa.

Eilert Hanoa (49) has over 25 years of experience from the software industry. He was the first (active) investor in Kahoot! and has served as chairman since 2015. Hanoa is the founder and former CEO of ERP software company Mamut (delisted from OSE when acquired by Visma in 2011), and Director SMB ERP in Visma from 2011-2018. Eilert Hanoa indirectly holds more than 11.3 million shares in Kahoot! through his wholly owned company AS Real-Forvaltning and Glitrafjord AS.

Harald Arnet (58) currently serves as the CEO of Datum Group, an investment company based in Oslo, Norway. He has more than 30 years’ of interational and international experience in corporate finance, industrial transactions and financial investments. Datum Group holds more than 17.3 million shares in the Company.
