Oslo, Norway (April 7, 2022), Kahoot! the global learning and engagement platform company and the Swedish EdTech company Skolon, announced today a new collaboration that will allow all Skolon users in Sweden to access Kahoot! digital learning solutions at schools starting this spring.
Skolon offers a platform with a collection of digital learning tools and teaching materials and is to this day the fastest-growing EdTech company in Sweden. Their library has nearly 3,400 digital tools and is now expanding further by entering a collaboration with the global learning and engagement company Kahoot!.
Kahoot! is a platform that offers engaging and interactive digital solutions for schools, universities, teachers and students. In the last 12 months, more than 9 million teachers globally for K-12 hosted a kahoot session with hundreds of millions of non-unique student participants.
“Kahoot!’s main strength is that it makes learning fun and engaging. They succeed in creating a content platform that delivers engagement through interactive lessons and direct feedback, both in the classroom and digitally. Their offerings are incredibly popular and well-known among the teaching staff,” said Oliver Lundgren, CEO of Skolon.
Through this collaboration, Skolon will make it possible for its users to buy and use Kahoot! tools on the Skolon’s platform internationally. Today, the Kahoot! app and the real-time assessment tool for educators Whiteboard.fi from Kahoot!, are already available on the Skolon platform. In the coming months, Skolon will also make other Kahoot! products available, including Kahoot!’s award-winning math apps by DragonBox and the new Kahoot! Multiplication by Dragonbox app, the learn-to-read app Poio, and the language learning app Drops, which empowers users to learn more than 45 languages.
“Our collaboration with Skolon will enrich the existing digital ecosystem of learning apps Skolon already offers to its users. We believe that teachers using Skolon will be able to take their lecturing to the next level as they can now deliver more meaningful and engaging learning experiences to their students through Kahoot!’s innovative solutions virtually or in the classroom,” said Eilert Hanoa, CEO at Kahoot!.
“Both Kahoot! and Skolon are fast-growing companies on an international journey, and Kahoot!’s focus is just like ours to create good conditions for simple digital learning, which makes our collaboration even more exciting,” said Lundgren.
The agreement was signed at the end of last week, and Kahoot!’s digital tools will be available on Skolon’s platform this spring. School administrators interested in getting Kahoot! and Skolon can reach out to schoolpack@kahoot.com or support@skolon.eu.
