AI-powered innovation recognized at ISTE

At ISTE 2025, Kahoot! was honored with the Tech & Learning ‘Best of Show’ award in the Primary Education category, recognizing our commitment to empowering educators with technology to make their lives easier as they create interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Our latest AI-powered features, included in Kahoot! EDU, allow teachers to create a quiz or interactive presentations in seconds. They are designed to save educators precious time and allow teachers to shift focus from administrative tasks to what matters most: providing engaging, personalized learning experiences for every student.

Advancing inclusive learning for all

Inclusivity continues to be a core pillar of Kahoot!’s mission. This year, we hosted the ‘Unlocking Inclusive Learning Through Gamification’ breakfast roundtable, bringing together district leaders, accessibility advocates, and experts like CAST’s Luis Perez.

The discussion spotlighted how game-based strategies can differentiate learning, increase engagement, and better support students with neurodiversity and other learning challenges through practical, evidence-based strategies.

Kahootopia! was highlighted as an example of inclusive learning. With its playful islands, levels, and collective rewards, Kahootopia! is the ultimate tool for the entire class to collaborate and celebrate achievements. Kahoot!’s new Accuracy mode was also highly praised and welcoming to all learners, as it prioritizes correct answers over speed, creating a more relaxed and inclusive learning environment. In this mode, players earn points only for correct answers, with no bonus points for speed.

Partner integrations and community expertise

A key takeaway from district administrators at ISTE was the necessity for seamless technology integration. Kahoot! highlighted our commitment to interoperability with the major ecosystem platforms in education, including integrations with leading LMSs, Google Classroom Add-On, and innovative features such as Google Slides and Microsoft Powerpoint upload and synchronization.

One of our big announcements at ISTE was Kahoot!’s integration in Microsoft Learning Zone:

Additionally, Kahoot! hosted sessions and demos at the booth that provided step-by-step guidance on how to use Kahoot! in classrooms, sharing valuable best practices from their educator community.

At the event, the Kahoot! Customer Advisory Council brought together school and district leaders for exclusive conversations around current education priorities and a deep dive into our solution for schools and districts, formative assessment strategies, and opportunities to provide direct feedback on future  product development.

Throughout ISTE, Kahoot! and teacher ambassadors led continuous booth sessions featuring interactive workshops, inspiring real-world success stories, and direct engagement with educators interested in innovative solutions for their classrooms. Complementing these discussions, demo sessions in Google’s booth offered attendees practical insights into our Classroom Add-on integration, helping educators streamline their workflows.
