Do your students beg to play again at the end of a game?

Good news Kahoot!’ers… We’ve introduced an alternative way to play games that, as always, is competitive and fun but also helps reinforce learning through repetition.

We’re calling this new feature ‘Ghost Mode’. When you finish a game of Kahoot! you will see a new ‘Play again’ button that also contains a ghost icon. When you click on the button, the same game is relaunched. As well as your ‘live’ class, all players are joined by their ‘ghosts’! The ghosts play the game alongside live players, and their answers (and answer times) will be exactly the same as those the players entered in the previous game.

Ghost mode is a great way to encourage learners to compete against themselves as well as each other.

Use Ghost Mode to master a topic

It gives players a chance to beat their previous score and provides immediate feedback. Set a game for homework too! Learners can create their own Kahoot! account so they can play again (and again!) against themselves in preview mode until they have mastered the topic.

That’s Ghost Mode. Play once, play again, and beat your score!

We’d love to hear your feedback – Tweet us @GetKahoot, share your comments in our Facebook group, and of course share your pictures and videos of #GhostMode in action on social media!
