Kahoot! and Nobel Peace Center expand global impact of peace education

Build the knowledge and skills to make the world a more peaceful place for all on the Nobel Peace Prize channel on Kahoot!.

Learning and knowledge are pivotal in cultivating understanding, tolerance, and empowerment, thereby fortifying the foundation for lasting peace. This is why I am so proud about our partnership with the Nobel Peace Center: together we make the impact of the Nobel Peace Prize and laureates’ contributions more accessible for learners across the globe, aiming to foster a more harmonious world.

Eilert Hanoa and Kjersti Fløgstad, CEO of Nobel Peace Center

The Nobel Peace Center, located in Kahoot!’s own home city of Oslo, Norway, is a showcase for the Nobel Peace Prize. By engaging their visitors and the public in learning about Nobel Peace Prize laureates’ ideas, work, and causes, the center inspires learners of all ages to build the knowledge and skills to make the world a more peaceful place for all.

Through our dedicated Nobel Peace Prize channel on the Kahoot! platform we engage and inspire young minds around the world, now with more than 23.000 non-unique participants having played the collection of ready-to-play kahoots since the launch in late last year

Celebrating the laureates through engaging learning

For 2023, the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Narges Mohammadi for her fight against the oppression of women in Iran and her fight to promote human rights and freedom for all. On the Kahoot! channel, learners of all ages can explore Mohammadi’s courageous journey, gaining insights into her advocacy for human rights, freedom, and equality.

Subscribe to the Nobel Peace Prize channel to stay tuned for more kahoots coming soon, exploring the history of the Nobel Peace Prize, past Peace Prize laureates, and more.

Digital learning for a brighter future

To engage and build knowledge and skills among the public effectively, the Nobel Peace Center employs various avenues, including exhibitions, events, and digital teaching tools.

In 2022 the center digitized its school programs and launched two educational games based on the laureates’ work, extending their influence to millions of students globally.

Now, through Kahoot!’s partnership, we look forward to supporting The Nobel Peace Center in further amplifying its outreach to inspire learners worldwide with messages of peacebuilding.

“At the Nobel Peace Center, we strive to inspire all learners with the stories of the Peace Prize laureates’ incredible contributions to creating a more peaceful world for everyone,” said Kjersti Fløgstad, Executive Director at the Nobel Peace Center. “By partnering with Kahoot!, we will be able to extend our message to students across the globe in an engaging and accessible way, encouraging even more learners to take action – whether large or small – to make the world a more peaceful place.”
