This year at Bett 2025 in London, our K!rew was able to share amazing experiences with thousands of attendees at one of the biggest education technology conference in the world. We had the incredible opportunity to connect with educators, students, and administrators from around the world, exchanging ideas on how we can make learning more engaging, inclusive, and impactful. We learned a lot and came away inspired, and now I’m excited to share my top four takeaways from this year’s event.
1. Student-led learning is front and center
At Bett 2025, it was clear that students are taking charge of their learning rather than being passive learners. With interactive tools like Kahoot!, they are taking ownership of their learning journey by participating in their lessons, and even creating their own kahoots and tests that help them succeed on their learning journey. The shift toward student-led learning fosters curiosity, creativity, and deeper engagement in their studies. By giving students the reins, we see them turn from passive knowledge consumers into active co-creators of their learning experience.
This change not only makes the learning process more dynamic and enjoyable but also equips students with essential future-ready skills, from collaboration and presentation skills to a lifelong love of learning! The result is a more vibrant classroom atmosphere where innovation thrives and students are genuinely excited about their education.
2. AI offers more than productivity gains – it’s enhancing the quality of teaching and learning
AI and technology are no longer merely tools for saving time for teachers and students; they represent a fundamental transformation in the learning process itself. At Bett 2025, we observed a remarkable evolution in how educators and students engage with AI-powered tools. The focus has shifted from simply enhancing efficiency to fostering empowerment and creativity in educational environments.
AI-driven features, such as the Kahoot! AI question generator, or our AI PDF-to-kahoot converter, are now enabling students and teachers to approach learning in more creative and impactful ways. With Kahoot!’s AI-enhanced generator, educators and learners can create high-quality curriculum-aligned kahoots from a topic, PDF, URL, or even a Wikipedia article. This enables educators to create personalized quizzes that cater to the individual learning pace of each student. At the same time, data-driven features provide instant feedback and support, encouraging teachers and students to explore topics deeply and ensure that learning sticks.
Moreover, during Bett 2025 we also announced the integration of Kahoot! with Microsoft Copilot+ PC. This integration will help teachers worldwide with new ways to plan their lessons with content from reputable resources within the app or using their own personal documents. Teachers are also able to generate kahoots easily and fine-tune them to deliver their in-class lessons with more confidence.
3. Engagement and learning outcomes go hand in hand
As educators and administrators navigate a growing EdTech ecosystem, it’s becoming a greater priority to choose digital learning tools that are not only fun, but backed by research to improve learning outcomes. At Kahoot!, we’re proud to design experiences where engagement fuels deeper learning. A meta-analysis of independent research has shown that Kahoot! on average raises academic performance on a typical test by a full letter grade. This was later reaffirmed by additional research, finding that Kahoot! enhanced students’ learning outcomes, knowledge retention, mental well being, and more. Research has even shown how Kahoot! can help reduce students’ stress while boosting their academic achievement!
Additionally, Kahoot! is recognized as a trusted learning solution through renowned certifications, including ESSA Level III certification, the ISTE seal, Data Privacy Certification by 1EdTech, ICEIE Gold badges, and the Common Sense Selection for Learning badge. With these certifications, educators and administrators can be confident that Kahoot! not only provides a safe digital learning environment, but is backed by evidence to enhance both the student experience and learning outcomes.
4. Edtech is making a global impact
Bett is a vibrant gathering where the global education community unites, and this year was no exception. I was inspired to see educators, students, and administrators from diverse continents, cultures, and teaching backgrounds come together to share their insights and experiences. This rich diversity ignites innovation and reminds us that learning knows no bounds. The exchange of perspectives and best practices reinforces the essential importance of inclusivity in education.
With over 8 million educators and millions of learners using Kahoot! in 200 countries and regions, we’re deeply committed to making learning awesome and accessible for all around the world, no matter their academic level, geography, or language. To support this, the Kahoot! platform is localized into 20 languages, with more to come!
Looking ahead
Bett 2025 reinforced our commitment to making learning awesome for everyone, everywhere. Seeing the passion and innovation from educators and students alike proves that the future of learning is bright. Whether through student-led learning, fostering diversity, or leveraging AI and technology for growth, one thing is clear: education is evolving, and we’re excited to be part of this journey.
