Kahoot! Academy and The Nature Conservancy launch games to bring engagement to science learning globally

Learners of all ages can explore the wonders of planet Earth with The Nature Conservancy’s new collection of games on Kahoot! Academy

With many students worldwide continuing to learn at home due to school closures, it’s more important than ever that students have the opportunity to explore the natural world, whether they’re together in a classroom or learning remotely.

To help students discover their inner-scientist, The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Lab is launching a collection of games on Kahoot! Academy that make learning about nature fun and engaging anywhere—in the classroom, virtually or at home independently. The games are available to play for free on Kahoot! Academy.

The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Lab is an online platform that educates students about how nature works and how we can protect it for years to come. Nature Lab offers age-appropriate videos that allow students to explore the world around them, as well as learning guides for environmental conservation, all aligned with school curriculum standards and informed by The Nature Conservancy’s 550 scientists and global community partners.

“We at Kahoot! are passionate about bringing science learning to life and helping learners gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for nature,” said Craig Narveson, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Kahoot!. “We’re excited to be working with The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Lab to engage students around the world with interactive science learning, whether in the classroom or virtually.”

The collection features 6 learning games, which students and learners of all ages can play to strengthen their science literacy skills and their understanding of nature. Learn about how climate change is presenting cities with new challenges, why coral reefs are important, how scientists are working to protect rainforests and more.

Kate Ireland, Director of Youth Engagement at The Nature Conservancy, shared: “We are thrilled to work together with Kahoot! on this exciting new project. At The Nature Conservancy, we deeply believe and know that engaging and inspiring the next generation with the science, solutions and wonder of nature is critical to ensuring a thriving future world. Through Kahoot!, we can offer content in a way that is engaging, accessible and perhaps most important—fun!”
