The Kahoot! Group appoints Louisa Rosenheck as new Director of Pedagogy

Kahoot!’s team of pedagogy experts, led by Louisa Rosenheck, will leverage the implementation of innovative playful methodologies across all products, content and services.

Oslo, Norway, (September 8, 2021): Kahoot!, the global learning platform, today announced the appointment of Louisa Rosenheck as the new Director of Pedagogy for the Kahoot! Group. 

Rosenheck joins the Kahoot! Group with more than 15 years of experience researching, and leading in the development of video games and creative technologies for learning. She will bring experience in learning design, curriculum integration, and assessment as well as knowledge of a wide range of learning concepts to the Kahoot! Group. 

“We are very excited to have Louisa on board in the Kahoot! team,” said Eilert Hanoa, CEO at Kahoot!. “Her knowledge, background and experience working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) will become an invaluable asset for the Kahoot! Group to successfully develop new innovative playful methodologies across all our products, content and services.”

Rosenheck will lead the advisory board of pedagogical experts within the Kahoot! Group including experts from Kahoot! at school and home, the digital learning platform Clever, learning apps such as Kahoot! Poio Read, Drops, Whiteboard.fi, and DragonBox, as well as experts from Kahoot!’s employee engagement and learning platforms Actimo and Motimate. This advisory board will ensure that Kahoot!’s pedagogical values and approach are successfully implemented and leveraged across Kahoot!’s portfolio of products and services. 

Rosenheck’s close collaboration with pedagogical teams across the Kahoot! Group confirms Kahoot!’s commitment to keep pedagogy at the heart of its current portfolio of products, content and services, and to expand offerings that focus on deeper learning and skill development in ways that are based on best practices in learning science. This commitment consists of developing more accessible and impactful products for millions of teachers, students, employees and lifelong learners, who rely on Kahoot! for enhancing their learning experience to unlock their full learning potential in the classroom, at home and at the workplace.

Rosenheck will start her role as new Director of Pedagogy at Kahoot! on September 15th, 2021 based in Boston. In addition to her full time role at the Kahoot! Group, Rosenheck will continue to teach a graduate course on EdTech design at Harvard University. Rosenheck holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Brown University and an Ed.M. in Technology, Innovation, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and is co-author of the book Resonant Games
