Kahoot! adds language support and new learning content in Ukrainian

Oslo, Norway (May 12, 2022): Kahoot!, the global learning and engagement platform company, announced today the addition of Ukrainian language on the Kahoot! web platform and mobile app for iOS and Android. With the addition of Ukrainian, Kahoot! is now available in 15 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Norwegian, German, Italian, Dutch, Turkish, Polish, Arabic, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

Beyond adding Ukrainian language support, Kahoot! has released a rich selection of kahoots and courses in Ukrainian on topics such as social and emotional learning (SEL), math, science, trivia, and a dedicated collection of free kahoots about Ukraine where users can learn more about the country, people, languages and culture.

The littlest learners of the family can also discover a world of learning with Kahoot! Kids in Ukrainian. These collections of kahoots are designed to spark children’s curiosity for learning and encourage them to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence.

“The current war in Ukraine has caused major disruptions to the learning journey of millions of children, students and lifelong learners in the country,” said Eilert Hanoa, CEO at Kahoot!. “Our mission is to make learning awesome for everyone, and in times like this, it’s even more important for us to support education through all our available resources. We want to deliver meaningful and joyful learning experiences to all learners affected by the current crisis in Ukraine.”

Supporting the Ukrainian language on the Kahoot! web platform and mobile apps, and offering learning content in Ukrainian, has been especially important for the team at Kahoot!.

“Working together with our local team of translators from the Ukraine has been an incredible experience,” said Sarah Blystad, Localization Director at Kahoot!. “This is a group of strongly motivated individuals who are committed to the belief that their work will make a difference and impact learners whose learning was interrupted. We hope educators, students, schools, universities, businesses, families and learners of all ages can use our services to connect with friends, family and colleagues and to continue their learning, regardless of their location right now. ”

Users can also support children and families from Ukraine by making donations through Kahoot! to organizations such as Save The Children and UNICEF.
