Kahoot! teams up with Khan Academy to supercharge growth mindset in LearnStorm 2021

A new school year has arrived, and with most teachers and students in the U.S. back in the classroom, many educators are looking for new ways to connect with their students and inspire deeper engagement in learning.

To continue Kahoot!’s mission to make learning awesome, we are excited to share that Kahoot! is teaming up with Khan Academy, the popular K-12 educational hub and Kahoot! Academy Premium partner, to bring excitement to classrooms through their LearnStorm 2021 program.

LearnStorm 2021 is a nationwide challenge for elementary, middle and high school classes in the U.S. The program is designed to help students build a growth mindset and resilience this back-to-school season and keep students motivated throughout the fall term. When teachers enroll in LearnStorm, their students can complete Khan Academy activities to contribute to the class’ combined progress. With each new level the class unlocks together, Khan Academy will send prizes to help students and educators celebrate their achievements!

All year long, educators can use Khan Academy’s collection of kahoots—now available to all Kahoot! users—to teach growth mindset strategies in an interactive and compelling way. Educators and learners can explore this collection for free on Kahoot! Academy, a knowledge platform and online community which allows anyone to access premium content that supports engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

To boost engagement even higher, all classes participating in LearnStorm will be invited to put their knowledge to the test with an exclusive kahoot, which can be played either in team mode or player vs player.

Classes that reach level 9 by November 21 will also be able to enter a drawing for the next level of the competition. Here, 1,000 classes across the U.S. will be chosen to compete in a live LearnStorm Kahoot! event, where the whole class will be challenged to work together as a team as they go head-to-head with other classes in their region and grade level. All classes participating in the Kahoot! competition will receive a certificate for their classroom, and winners will earn LearnStorm Grand Prizes of “Comfy Classroom Makeovers” to enjoy all year long!
