App Annie, the mobile data and analytics company, has released a report showing that the time Android users have spent on educational apps globally has grown 90% in this back-to-school season, as many schools continue to operate virtually.
As reported in App Annie’s latest analysis, Kahoot! is among the top educational apps students are using this year. Students around the world are using the Kahoot! mobile app to study, prepare for tests and reinforce their learning.
According to the report, students in the United States used educational apps on Android phones 30% more during the week of September 6 this year than they did during the same time last year. The first few weeks of September mark the height of back-to-school season for the U.S. and many countries across the Northern Hemisphere. This year, many schools welcomed students back to a fully virtual or blended learning system.
To support and enhance students’ learning during this transition, many teachers have incorporated Kahoot! into their teaching routine. One of the biggest challenges teachers face in distance learning is keeping their students engaged, and Kahoot!’s learning games are designed to help teachers create impactful learning experiences while students focus on having fun. Students can play Kahoot! from any device with an internet connection, making it the perfect way to add interactivity to a virtual or socially distanced classroom.
