The outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) has caused many educational institutions to close temporarily and rely on distance learning.
We believe that there should be no limits to when and where you can learn, and we are committed to supporting educators in facilitating distance and online learning at all times. For example, educators can engage their students via self-paced games or host Kahoot! via videoconferencing.
Utilize Kahoot!’s free distance learning tools
Self-paced challenge mode is a free feature that’s already available for all educators. Students can complete self-paced games by themselves at home, on a mobile device or computer. This game mode helps students stay on track with their curriculum, even when they can’t attend school. Teachers can also access over 40 million free and ready-to-play games on various subjects or create their own games.
A basic version of Kahoot!, with robust features, is and will always be available for free for teachers and schools.
Access Kahoot! Premium for free
To further empower educators who have to switch to distance learning in this difficult time, we’re providing free access to Kahoot! Premium to any school that’s closed and has to conduct all lessons online due to coronavirus. It’s our hope that Kahoot! Premium’s online learning features will help teachers engage and motivate their students during this difficult time.
With Kahoot! Premium, teachers can use advanced reports to facilitate formative assessment and adjust instruction based on student performance – even when they cannot attend school. Kahoot! Premium also lets teachers put together a bank of school-wide educational games and collaborate with other teachers in their school.
Addendum: This offer expired on September 30, 2020. Please visit our distance learning page for more information on how Kahoot! helps educators connect with students remotely.
