On June 16 and 17, we wrapped up this school year by hosting the Kahoot! EDU Summit, our virtual professional development event that brought together thousands of educators, EdTech thought leaders, technology specialists, Kahoot! ambassadors and partners. We’d like to thank all our guest speakers, hosts and attendees for the fantastic support and making these two days truly awesome! We had a blast!

Disney inspired imagination and creativity
The team at Disney Imagination Campus believes that imagination and creativity should be part of every student’s educational experience, and their vision is to inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and doers. The attendees of the Kahoot! EDU Summit got to hear from Luc Mayrand, Portfolio Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering and learn about Imagineering’s storied blue-sky process highlighting how everything Disney creates begins from imagination. Kahoot! ambassadors showcased the best tools and teaching techniques to make coming back to class awesome
Our ambassadors and Kahoot! Academy Verified educators shared inspiring ideas for the next school year and participated in thought provoking panel discussions – the engagement of our audience with these sessions was overwhelming!

Terri Brungardt, a District Media Specialist, together with her colleague Amy Hawkins-Keeler presented their exciting success story of connecting hundreds of teachers and boosting collaboration in their district with Kahoot! EDU:
Throughout two days, we had the pleasure of playing live kahoots with several Kahoot! ambassadors and our event hosts, Ann Makosinski and Dr. Quentin Lee. The energy and competitive spirit were through the roof! If you won in one of the kahoots – we’ll be in touch shortly about your prize 😉
Roundup of the most exciting Kahoot! updates and back-to-school teaser previews
In my sessions on both days of the event, I highlighted exciting new features and products not to miss out on in the next school year, including our free slides, PowerPoint integration, the single screen option, and our latest updates hot off the press – read aloud audio in questions and multiple new languages in our apps.
I also gave exclusive teaser previews of what’s coming for back-to-school:
- GIF library powered by GIPHY;
- New team mode where every students is motivated to participate;
- Brand new app experience tailored to kids – an update particularly relevant for the youngest learners!
And, last but not least, I presented a few big updates we’re preparing for Kahoot! EDU, such as integrations with Clever and Google Classroom, advanced student creation and student-level assessment features, and classes and lessons featuring Kahoot! Math Labs.
