Kahootopia! is a tool for the whole class to work together and celebrate achievements. Every time students finish a kahoot quiz, a new building is added to the island. As the class earns rewards, they can decorate and personalize the buildings. These islands become a record of achievement for the class and a great way to celebrate together. Every student’s learning experience is rewarded as the class levels up together, all while mastering core subjects through fun and competitive Kahoot! games. Whether they’re solving math problems or testing their science knowledge, each successful game earns rewards, fostering teamwork, inclusivity, and motivating achievement.

Kahoot! game modes

Kahoot! game modes empower every aspect of classroom dynamics, from lesson planning to delivery, through to assessment and reporting. Kahoot! game modes are designed to measure accuracy instead of speed and timers, reducing students’ stress. The game modes’ dynamics include various presentation tools that enable students to engage with prompts and concepts in various ways. The game modes also provide several data points for the same concept or objective, which makes it easier to measure progress and achievement. In each game mode, students go through question content and prompts across several stages and levels, mixed with pauses and transitions.

Color Kingdoms

Color Kingdom’s arcade-like territory map encourages numeracy skills, as students quickly count and tally territories and tiles their team has colored and earned. Before starting a Color Kingdoms Kahoot! game mode, it is recommended to ensure that the players can communicate in person or via voice chat with their team to strategize as they play.

Submarine Squad

In Submarine Squad the entire class plays together toward a common goal of fun and learning. While individual students answer questions correctly to boost the submarine, the whole class follows read-aloud instructions to escape from the hungry jaws of the advancing fish. Teacher content included in the kahoot improves learning outcomes, while the mechanics of this newest game mode foster social interaction and inclusive collaboration skills.

Treasure Trove game mode ensures that students can work through concepts and questions at their own pace, without the pressure of a ticking timer or competing with their peers. The camaraderie of the Podium is not lost, though! Treasure meters help students visualize their success, sharing celebrations from one classmate to the next! When focusing on progress and performance instead of just points, the competitive spirit can become more wholehearted and collaborative.The game set-up feature also provides an opportunity for teachers to have extra input and incorporate strategies. One of the strategies that can be used is to set a time limit for the game. By doing so, the teacher will know exactly how much time the game will take and can build up excitement as the time counts down.

Chill Art

Chill Art allows students to paint by number for each question they answer correctly. As they play, calming music plays in the background, both in the lobby and on their devices. The game is designed to help students learn more effectively, with questions being presented and then re-presented throughout several sequences in different orders and chronologies. This repetitive format ensures that learning is cumulative, but without relying on memorization. In addition, the instant feedback provided by the game helps to ensure that students are learning new information accurately and correctly.

Tallest Tower

Tallest Tower amplifies learning through collaboration – for students of all dynamics and demographics. Tallest Tower gameplay provides a mechanism to convey and present classroom content. Students engage in a collaborative and gamified learning experience without detracting from lesson goals and curricular content. The Lost Pyramid

The Lost Pyramid game mode is a unique collaborative learning adventure that will captivate students from the very start. Team members vote on the correct answer and indicate their confidence level. The more confident they are, the higher their team climbs the pyramid. This game mode is perfect for sparking discussions, and transforming the learning experience into a collaborative and social activity.

Whiteboard.fi

Whiteboard.fi gives students a rich toolkit to express themselves on their whiteboards, solve problems, complete assignments, and present results. Every student gets their individual whiteboard that only the teacher can see, while all students can see the teacher’s whiteboard. In addition to taking text notes, users can also add images, annotate them, and insert PDFs, emojis, shapes, and math symbols. Whiteboard.fi can be used in a classroom, virtually, or in a hybrid format to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable participating and sharing. It allows every student to have an individual board where they can share their notes and answers, giving a voice to those who may be reluctant to participate.

Kahoot! Sparks, is a teaching tool on the Kahoot! platform that stirs imagination while developing future-ready skills in every learner! Sparks is an instructional activity where educators prompt students with a creative challenge to develop solutions called ‘Sparks.’ Once a spark is created, it guides students through the process of sharing them with peers, remixing them into new innovations, and celebrating the merits of each idea together in class. Designed to be flexible and inclusive for all learners, Sparks cultivates skills such as creative confidence, divergent thinking, and evaluation. It encourages student voice and self-expression, sparking lots of laughter too. Kahoot! Sparks was created as part of the LEGO Foundation Play for All accelerator program, our team at Kahoot! aimed to design a digital learning experience that was playful, inclusive, and consistent with the Kahoot! platform.

Duck Duck Fractions

In Duck Duck Fractions, students learn at their own pace while unlocking rewards for the entire class by solving increasingly difficult fraction puzzles to help Duck-Duck find his spaceship and blast off! Duck-Duck Fractions includes ready-made fractions puzzles where students progress through various levels of difficulty based on their understanding. This game is ideal for students in grades 3-5 who want to learn math skills, from discovering fractions to adding and subtracting decimals. As students progress through the game, they earn coins and unlock new levels. They also fill a communal treasure chest with their coins, which evolves as they add more. This gives the entire class a shared goal and a sense of accomplishment.

DragonBox Geometry is an engaging game that challenges players to save Euclid’s Island while also teaching them about the properties, definitions, and relations of geometric shapes through Euclidian proofs. The game is inspired by “Elements,” one of the most influential works in mathematics, which describes the fundamental principles of geometry using a singular and coherent framework. For over 23 centuries, its 13 volumes have served as a reference textbook. However, with DragonBox Elements, players can learn its essential axioms and theorems within just a few hours of gameplay.

DragonBox Algebra 1 and 2 aims to teach algebraic concepts to learners of various ages, including both children and adults. The game takes a unique and visually engaging approach to make learning algebra easier and more enjoyable. The game is designed to create an immersive and enjoyable experience while providing cognitive exercise and learning. The game will pick your brain to complete simple tactical and strategic tasks while training to become a grandmaster.”

BigNumbers dive into the world of Nooms and help your child learn about big numbers, long addition, and subtraction. In this game, your child will be challenged to think strategically to trade resources and unlock new worlds. The ultimate goal is to understand large numbers and how they are related to each other. The game features six different worlds where you can explore and collect resources. To gain access to each world, you will need to think strategically to trade the resources you have and unlock new ones.

Numbers are made up of four unique activities that build number sense through gameplay, mainly by manipulating the amazing and fun characters, the Nooms. With number sense, your child will have the ability to understand the relationship between one number to another number. Children will have the ability to use numbers flexibly to arrive at a conclusion. In this game, the player builds understanding, flexibility, and fluidity with numbers rather than memorizing simple facts.

Kahoot! Learn to Read by Poio provides a unique approach to phonics teaching, where children are in charge of their learning journey. The game adapts to your child’s level of skill.
