Studies have shown that Kahoot! positively impacts the classroom environment by increasing learning performance, fostering positive attitudes, and reducing anxiety in both K-12 and higher education settings. The reason for Kahoot!’s effectiveness is its focus on improving learning outcomes through engaging, competitive, and game-based learning experiences that increase participation and motivation. Kahootopia! is a tool for the whole class to work together and celebrate achievements. Every time students finish a kahoot quiz, a new building is added to the island. As the class earns rewards, they can decorate and personalize the buildings. These islands become a record of achievement for the class and a great way to celebrate together. Every student’s learning experience is rewarded as the class levels up together, all while mastering core subjects through fun and competitive Kahoot! games. Before starting a Color Kingdoms Kahoot! game mode, it is recommended to ensure that the players can communicate in person or via voice chat with their team to strategize as they play.

In addition to taking text notes, users can also add images, annotate them, and insert PDFs, emojis, shapes, and math symbols. Whiteboard.fi can be used in a classroom, virtually, or in a hybrid format to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable participating and sharing. It allows every student to have an individual board where they can share their notes and answers, giving a voice to those who may be reluctant to participate.

Sparks Designing for Inclusion, Designing for All

We know that empowering student choice creates better learning experiences for all. Creating Kahoot! Sparks as part of the LEGO Foundation Play for All accelerator program, our team at Kahoot! aimed to design a digital learning experience that was playful, inclusive, and consistent with the Kahoot! platform. The ultimate goal of inclusive design is not to address specific needs or diagnoses by creating a separate version of a tool. On the contrary, by utilizing inclusive methods and building in inclusive elements, we can create tools that remove barriers so that every learner can engage and express themselves in ways that work best for them.

Introducing Kahoot! Sparks, a brand-new teaching tool on the Kahoot! platform that stirs imagination while developing future-ready skills in every learner! Sparks is an instructional activity where educators prompt students with a creative challenge to develop solutions called ‘Sparks.’ Once a spark is created, it guides students through the process of sharing them with peers, remixing them into new innovations, and celebrating the merits of each idea together in class. Designed to be flexible and inclusive for all learners, Sparks cultivates skills such as creative confidence, divergent thinking, and evaluation. It encourages student voice and self-expression, sparking lots of laughter too.

In Duck Duck Fractions, students learn at their own pace while unlocking rewards for the entire class by solving increasingly difficult fraction puzzles to help Duck-Duck find his spaceship and blast off! Duck-Duck Fractions includes ready-made fractions puzzles where students progress through various levels of difficulty based on their understanding. This game is ideal for students in grades 3-5 who want to learn math skills, from discovering fractions to adding and subtracting decimals. As students progress through the game, they earn coins and unlock new levels. They also fill a communal treasure chest with their coins, which evolves as they add more. The game is inspired by “Elements,” one of the most influential works in mathematics, which describes the fundamental principles of geometry using a singular and coherent framework. BigNumbers dive into the world of Nooms and help your child learn about big numbers, long addition, and subtraction. In this game, your child will be challenged to think strategically to trade resources and unlock new worlds. The ultimate goal is to understand large numbers and how they are related to each other. The game features six different worlds where you can explore and collect resources. To gain access to each world, you will need to think strategically to trade the resources you have and unlock new ones.

With every letter sound they master, they are introduced to new letters and longer words step-by-step. This immerses them in an engaging game world that sparks their curiosity and allows them to teach themselves to read through exploration.
